Australia Travelogue 2015 - Sydney (Part 2) - Three Sisters/Echo Point + Featherdale Wildlife Park

Good morning from Katoomba!
One night in our Airbnb - fuss free and cosy. Is it just me or does anyone else feel weird letting themselves into stranger's homes and never meeting the owner at all? Yeah well, we often find ourselves doing that. This Airbnb community is so trusting!

If I was an Airbnb host I would probably be quite paranoid about strangers letting themselves in and walking around my house. :/

Nice and cosy! The owner must like stripes a lot.

Picking up some coffee at Cassiopeia to start the day!

Blessed with lovely weather again! (:

After coming from Tassie, I thought that I won't be impressed with the scenery in the Blue Mountains area because I have already seen the "best" scenery in Aussie. But I was so wrong! The view stretched for such a vast distance it was pretty amazing.

And of course everyone comes to see the Three Sisters.

So so beautiful!

We walked down one of the hiking trails to the Sisters. And this is the side view of one of them, with the other two hidden behind. Try to spot a person wearing blue standing in the "cave" at the bottom. We will be going there later :o

We were here around late morning but the sun was casting a lovely golden-hour hue.

Some of the climbing involve paths that only have a metal grill preventing you from falling to certain death. :/ Freaking scared of heights!

For example this bridge that brings you to that area under the sister I pointed our earlier! There is nothing under the bridge. It took awhile for me to dare to walk on it. lol

Next up we went to Wentworth Falls!

And this bugger nearly gave me a heart attack when he decided to climb over the safety barrier to sit at the edge. It doesn't look scary but it is really quite high up! He likes to do such things that give me anxiety! PTTFF!!!

Leaving Blue Mountains towards Sydney, we decided to stop by Featherdale Wildlife Park because I was determined to see koalas - we are in Aussie after all! (Fact: there are no koalas in Tasmania)

What a cutie!

Tricking the wallaby into thinking I had food heh.

This kangaroo's got style!

Albino kangaroo.

Quite disappointed that we couldn't carry the little cutie. But we can touch it's butt haha.
Its face: "you woke me up for this?!"

And finally it decided to look at me :D
